Summer Math Olympiad Camp 2014

The Summer Mathematics Olympiad Camp 2014 (SMOC-2014) will be held in Moscow from 13 to 26 of July, 2014. The host of the camp is Moscow Institute for Physics and Technology. The camp is supported by Center for online education "100EGE.ru" and "Mathematical school" project MathSchool.ru.

 We invite foreign (from out of the Former Soviet Union States) high-school students to take part in this camp. The participation fee for such students (including accomodation, everyday breakfasts, lunchs and dinners, studying and tourism) is EUR100 (one hundred euro) or USD120 (one hundred twenty US dollars). The travel costs from hometown to Moscow and from Moscow back to hometown must be covered by the participant himself or herself.

Schedule:

• July 13th - arrival (till 17:00), opening ceremony (18:00), dinner (19:00)
• July 14th - competition in mathematics (10:00-14:00), lecture (17:00)
• July 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th - studying days
  • breakfast (09:00-09:20)
  • lectures (09:30-11:15, 11:30-13:15)
  • lunch (13:30-14:00)
  • sports (14:00-17:00)
  • lectures (17:00-18:45)
  • dinner (19:00-19:20)
  • evening activities (19:30)
• July 19th - excursion around Moscow
• July 20th - competition in Physics or in Programming
• July 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th - studying days
• July 25th - examinations (10:00-14:00), closing ceremony (20:00), disco (21:30)
• July 26th - departure (at any time)

Every day:

  • dinner (19:00-19:20)
  • evening activities (19:30)

In order to participate in the SMOC-2104 one should send an e-mail to sharich@mathschool.ru. E-mail should contain answers of the following questions:

• Last name, First name, City, Date of birth, Age, School name of every participant
• Last name, First name, E-mail and Telephone number ot the teacher or other grownup person responsible for the participation of mentioned students in SMOC-2014 ("head of the delegation")

Soon after this e-mail is sent the organizing committee will contact the head of the delegation to confirm the participations of students and discuss other details. Pay attention that it is not necessary for the head of the delegation to come to Moscow. We will meet all foreign participants at Moscow airports upon their arrival and we will also drive all foreign participants to Moscow airports on the day of their departure.
